Perez Hilton Assaulted - Video Of Club Fight - Will.i.am Statement, and More

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton a.k.a. “Mario” was assaulted this past weekend after appearing on the Canadian Much Music Awards. Perez and “Lady Gaga” decided to go out to a night club after the show where they ran into singer “Fergie” from the band “The Black Eyed Peas.”

Fergie, who like so many other celebrities is the butt of some of Perez Hilton’s jokes on PerezHilton.com confronted the blogger about his criticisms. Perez Hilton let Fergie know that he wasn’t fond of her latest songs, upsetting the singer. Later at another night club Fergie’s friend and band-mate Will.i.am ran into Perez and brought up his earlier comment to Fergie.

That’s when a verbal fight ensued which quickly escalated into a physical assault. Perez Hilton was punched in the eye but not by Will.i.am. Perez said it was Polo Molina, part of Will.i.am’s entourage that hit him while Will.i.am said it was Toronto fans who jumped on Perez Hilton in his public statement video.

Here is the video of the fight between Will.i.am and Perez Hilton outside the Toronto nightclub this past weekend. It’s hard to get a clear image of exactly what when on but you can hear Perez Hilton fighting verbally with Will.i.am:

Here’s what celebrity blogger Perez Hilton has to say about being assaulted the night of the Much Music Awards:

Here’s “The Black Eyed Peas” band member Will.i.am’s statement about the events that occurred after the Much Music Awards in Toronto, Ontario:

Perez Hilton is shocked at how many people believe that he deserved to be punched. Even though he makes a living at insulting people on his blog and understands that he upsets people, he says that there’s never a reason for violence. The latest update on the Perez assault is that The Black Eyed Peas manager Polo Molina has turned himself in to Toronto police. Which means it’s likely that Perez Hilton is telling the truth.
