After over a year of battling one another, celebrity wrestler Hulk Hogan who’s real name is Terry Bollea and wife Linda Bollea met peacefully at their divorce settlement hearing.

Their time in court was brief and ended with Linda Bollea kissing her ex-husband on the cheek. A sign of friendship? Possibly, but Linda may just be thankful for the huge divorce settlement she received. Although no official numbers have been released the Bollea’s net worth was listed at over $26 million in their 2008 court filings, and Linda has likely received a hefty chunk of that money.

With money disputes out of the way it looks like the couple who were married for 24 years and have two children together can finally move on with their lives. As Linda Bollea said after the divorce settlement hearing “The war is over.”

Once Madonna decided that it was over it didn’t take her long to get a divorce. While busy with her Sticky & Sweet Tour and three children she still managed to find time visit Britain’s High Court in London, England where she and Guy Ritchie were granted a preliminary decree of divorce.

Their divorce will become final within 6 weeks provided the couple doesn’t change their mind. Maddona, 50, will keep her vast fortune of over 400 million dollars. Contrary to initital speculation Ritchie, 40, did not attempt to put of a fight for Madonna’s money. Instead the couple wants to make a quick and clean break, most likely for the sake of the children.

Nick Bollea (a.k.a. Nick Hogan), the son of celebrity wrestler Hulk Hogan was released from Pinellas County Jail yesterday after serving a 166 day sentence. The was released three months early for good behavior.

Nick Bollea was sentenced after being found guilty to reckless driving related charges in 2007 which left his best friend John Graziano permanently paralyzed.

Bollea’s family has stood by him during his prison term, despite the bitter divorce of his parents that took place while he was jailed.

Nick Bollea became a household name after appearing on the popular reality television show “Hogan Knows Best” which documented the day to day life of Hulk Hogan and his family.

Heather Locklear was arrested on the suspicion of Driving Under The Influence of prescription medication. The police were called to the scene after someone noticed Locklear driving erratically. She was arrested and taken to the police station where they screened her for drugs and alcohol.

Locklear has been having a tough time since her break-up with Richie Sambora. Since the couple divorced she has suffered from anxiety and depression and recently spent time in a recovery facility in attempts to improve her mental health. Sambora and Locklear were married for 11 years and have a daughter together. Their break-up became especially painful for Locklear when her ex-husband began dating her close friend Denise Richards shortly after divorce papers were filed.

Everybody goes through hard times and many people can relate to Locklear’s pain. Her fans (which includes me) are wishing her the best and hoping she’ll feel better soon. Perhaps in the future she’ll write a book sharing her experiences of depression to inspire others going through the same circumstances. Good luck Heather!

Bob Duff has been sentenced to 10 days in jail after a Texas judge found him to be in contempt.

It all started when Hilary Duff’s parents who are going through a bitter divorce disagreed on her swank birthday party planned for this September 28 when Hilary turns 21.

Susan Duff wanted her ex to pay $25,000 towards the party, the judge ended up ordering him to pay $12,500. Millionaire or not you would think that Bob Duff has the right to say no to Hilary, what a spoiled brat.

Apparently the reality show marriage curse has continued, as Linda Bollea, wife of Hulk Hogan, has filed for a divorce from the famous former pro wrestler. The couple, along with their children Nick and Brooke, starred in a reality show for VH-1 called Hogan Knows Best.

It has been a rough few months for the family, as son Nick was involved in a serious car crash this past summer which left his good friend in a coma. It is unclear if that tragedy played any role in the divorce, but certainly that had to put a strain on all of them. Nick was recently arrested in connection with the event and charged with reckless driving. Nick was reportedly excessively speeding at the time of the crash.

What is so strange about this story is that apparently, according to People magazine, the Hulk did not even know about the filing of divorce papers until a reporter for The St. Petersburg Times broke the news to him. Unless he was just acting surprised, it is odd that a man would not know that his wife was going to put the wheels in motion to divorce him. I remember reading that they were moving from the house featured in the reality show, so maybe that move was related to their separation?

The reality television marriage curse is well-documented, as many former couples who put their marriage on television ended up divorced. Some examples include Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson, Dave Navarro and Carmen Electra, and The Barkers (although they may have reconciled). Does the stress of having a camera document your life cause your marriage to breakdown or is just that, like marriages not on television, the reality show marriages have their problems and end for reasons unrelated to television and celebrity?

According to TMZ, Shaunie O’Neal, the wife of Miami Heat basketball player Shaquille O’Neal has filed a response to his petition for divorce.  Her response alleges that their marriage is not irretrievably broken, as Shaq’s petition had alleged, and she apparently wants to stay married to him.

She also denied Shaq’s claims that she was secretive with her assets or that she had hidden any money from him in other entities.  His petition had called for an accounting of her assets to determine if she had done anything improper.

This just makes the situation more confusing an bizarre.  What exactly does Shaq think that Shaunie has done?  Is he misinformed or is she not being truthful?  I am sure that this will all come out eventually, but it has the thinks of a messy divorce trial.

NBA star Shaquille O’Neal initiated divorce proceedings Tuesday against his wife of nearly five years Shaunie O’Neal, according to the Miami Herald. The couple has four children together and each had one child prior to their marriage in late 2002.

According to court documents, Shaq says that the marriage is “irretrievably broken” and that he wants an accounting of Shaunie’s assets because she has been “secretive about her assets . . . particularly with respect to certain properties owned or titled in either [her] name alone or in other entities.”

There are rampant rumors that the divorce is the result of the aforementioned “secretive” hiding of money, but others have speculated that infidelity was involved. The mention of the assets could also stem from the fact that they have a prenuptial agreement and Shaq wants to make sure that he retains the money that belongs to him and may not be the reason for the divorce.

The photo above was taken earlier this summer and they look pretty happy there, so it will be interesting to learn if this was a sudden decision on Shaq’s part after discovering something that Shaunie did or if they have had trouble for some time.
