Michael Jackson’s Doctor Raided - The Investigation of Dr. Murray
Monday, July 27th, 2009Michael Jackson’s doctor, cardiologist Dr. Conrad Murray hasn’t been happy with all of the negative media reports blaming him for Jackson’s sudden heart failure on June 25, 2009. Dr. Murray was hired by Michael Jackson at an astonishing rate of $150,000 a month to provide whatever medical care Jackson required.
Shortly after Jackson death it was reported that Dr. Murray was not a suspect in the Jackson case. But Jackson’s family and the media continued to demand anwers, wanting to know more about the involvement of those who were in Michael’s life at the time of his death.
It’s not only the media who think Dr. Conrad Murray might have had something to do with Michael Jackson’s death, but law enforcement is questioning a possible involvement as well. Police obtained search warrants this week so they could thoroughly investigate Dr. Murray’s Houston doctor’s clinic and storage unit.
During the raid 27 tablets of Phentermine (appetite suppressant), 1 tablet of clonazepam (anti-anxiety), Rolodex cards, and a computer were removed from Dr. Murray’s office. From his storage unit police seized hospital documents, including a suspension notice, IRS notices, and two computer hard drives.
Meanwhile the L.A. County coroner is waiting for the results of Michael Jackson’s toxicology tests which are expected to be released in as a soon as a week but could take longer.
Michael Jackson’s toxicology results will finally determine the cause of death which will help investigators to decide if any outside forces including Dr. Murray had an impact on Michael’s Jackson’s health, and finally death. If Dr. Murray’s accounts of Michael Jackson’s final days are accurate then the toxicology results could help prove his innocence, clearing his name.
Since Michael Jackson was known to have prescription drug dependency issues long before Dr. Murray arrived on the scene it will be interesting to see how this police investigation plays out.
