Paris Hilton Settles Defamation Suit

Paris Hilton has agreed to undisclosed terms with actress Zeta Graff, who sued Hilton for defamation of character. Graff alleged that Hilton had told “vicious lies” to the New York Post about her. Specifically Hilton reportedly told the paper that Graff went “berserk” and tried to strangle her at a nightclub.
The animosity between the two resulted from the fact that Graff had previously dated Paris Latsis, who was Hilton’s fiance at the time of the incident.
Although Hilton denied claims that she leaked the story to the media, her publicist said in a deposition that Hilton told him to plant the story. With possible testimony like that if the case went to trial, it makes sense that Hilton would want to settle.
