Just When You Think Boy George Couldn’t Get Any Weirder
In the 1980’s Boy George was at the top of his career as the lead singer of the popular group “Culture Club” and it’s pretty much been all downhill for the flamboyant singer since then. Now age 47, he’s been making headlines over the years thanks to his drug addiction but most recently he shocked the public when he was arrested for false imprisonment. You have to wonder, who exactly would Boy George imprison?
It turns out it was a 29-year-old male escort named Audun Carlsen that claims George handcuffed him and beat him with a metal chain. Ouch. Although Boy George (his real name George O’Dowd) did admit to handcuffing the escort his story was that it was because the man was tampering with his computer.
Boy George has been found guilty of “false imprisonment” and will be sentenced on January 16, 2009. He is currently out on bail. Hopefully all of Boy George’s “boy toys” will stay away from his computer until then.
