Will Debbie Rowe Seek Custody Of Jackson Kids? Recent Update
It’s been two weeks since Michael Jackson’s sudden death and the mother of two of the Jackson children Debbie Rowe, 50, still has not publicly announced whether or she not intends to fight for custody.
In his final Will which was written in 2002 Michael Jackson left all three of his children to his mother Katherine Jackson, 79. If Katherine Jackson was unable or unwilling to care for Paris Katherine, Prince Michael, and Prince Michael II (nicknamed Blanket) Michael Jackson’s wishes were for singer Diana Ross to raise his children.
Michael Jackson did not mention his ex-wife Debbie Rowe, the mother of Paris Katherine and Prince Michael, in his Will other than to state that he’d intentionally left her out. In Michael Jackson’s final years Debbie Rowe did not see her two children or Jackson, and received monetary compensation after their divorce.
Since Debbie Rowe was initially involved in her kids lives some thought that she might fight Michael Jackson’s wishes and try to regain custody of Paris and Michael Jackson. It is obvious that since Debbie Rowe cut herself out of her children’s lives they have formed a deep bond with the Jackson family, and Katherine Jackson who now has temporary custody of all three of Michael’s children is happy to permanently raise them.
There has been some speculation by various media sources that the only interest Debbie Rowe has in her children is the amount of money that she can receive from the Jackson family to give up any parental rights she has left.
But perhaps Debbie Rowe might actually think that at this point her two children are better off with Jackson family and their little brother Prince Michael II who has a different surrogate mother.
Debbie Rowe’s involvement with Michael Jackson has been complex since day one, it will be interesting to see what choices Rowe will make over the next few weeks.
